Religion is a large historical part of the city of New Orleans. Krissi and I will introduce you to some of the religious influences
throughout New Orleans, how they were created and where you can find
them on the trip if you are interested in visiting them during your
stay. You will learn about Protestantism, Native American religion, the
history of religion in New Orleans, Catholicism, along
with Voodoo and the cemeteries. The French and Spanish colonial history of New Orleans gives its population a strong Catholic tradition, and Catholicism is still the predominant religion today. While Catholicism is its predominant religion, there is also a strong presence of voodoo practice which to some (those who do not understand the practice of voodoo) believe it is a practice of satin worship.
